Plagiarism Policy

World Journal of Corpus Linguistics (WJCL) upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and respects the intellectual property rights of authors and researchers. All manuscripts submitted to WJCL must be original and free from any form of plagiarism, including but not limited to direct copying, paraphrasing without acknowledgment, self-plagiarism, and inappropriate citation practices.

Authors are required to ensure that their works are entirely original, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, it must be appropriately cited or quoted. Submissions found to contain plagiarized material—either during the editorial process or after publication—will be rejected or retracted, depending on the severity of the violation.

All submitted manuscripts will undergo an initial plagiarism screening using reliable plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or equivalent tools) before entering the peer-review process. The editorial board reserves the right to return manuscripts that do not meet the ethical publication standards.

By submitting their manuscripts, authors affirm that:

  • The work is original and has not been published elsewhere.

  • Proper credit has been given to all sources and contributors.

  • Any content reused from other publications is properly cited and does not violate copyright laws.

WJCL is committed to fostering a culture of honesty, transparency, and academic excellence in corpus linguistics research.
