Steps for Online Submission – World Journal of Corpus Linguistics (WJCL)

To submit a manuscript to the World Journal of Corpus Linguistics (WJCL), authors must first register and log in to the journal's online submission platform. Once logged in, follow the steps below:

Step 1 – Start the Submission
Complete the submission checklist to confirm that your manuscript adheres to WJCL’s submission policies. You may also include comments for the Editor.

Step 2 – Upload the Manuscript
Click “Choose File” to upload your manuscript in .doc or .docx format, then click “Upload” to proceed.

Step 3 – Enter Submission Metadata
Fill in all required fields including the full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, contact emails, and select the corresponding author. Enter the title, abstract, and 3–5 keywords into the relevant text boxes.

Step 4 – Upload Supplementary Files
Upload essential documents such as the Cover Letter and Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement. If no supplementary files are available, simply click “Save and Continue.”

Step 5 – Confirm Submission
Carefully review all entered data and uploaded documents. When ready, click “Finish Submission.” A confirmation email will be sent to the corresponding author. Manuscript progress can be tracked through the WJCL account dashboard.

General Information

All manuscripts must be submitted through WJCL’s online submission system. Manuscripts must be written in English and should range from 6,000 to 8,000 words (including tables, figures, and references) using the official WJCL template.

Title

  • Font: Times New Roman, 14 pt, Bold, Centered

Author Details

  • Name: 10 pt, Bold, Centered
  • Affiliation: 10 pt, Centered
  • Email: 10 pt, Italic, Centered

Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract: Maximum 250 words in English
  • Keywords: 3–5 keywords
  • Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, single-spaced

Main Sections

  • Introduction
  • Literature Review
  • Methodology
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, single-spaced
  • First-line indentation (0.5 cm) for all paragraphs except the first paragraph of each section

Tables and Figures

  • Must be numbered consecutively
  • Include clear titles and sources (if applicable)

References

  • Use APA (7th edition) style
  • Use reference management software such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote
  • Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, single-spaced, hanging indent (1 cm)

Peer Review Process

WJCL uses a double-blind peer review process. Authors can expect initial review outcomes within 2–3 months of submission.

Revision and Resubmission

Authors must submit revised manuscripts within 6 weeks of receiving reviewer feedback. Delays beyond this window may result in the manuscript being treated as a new submission.
