Author Guideline and Online Submission

Steps for Online Submission

After registering and receiving a username/password for the Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (JMS), authors will be directed to the online submission interface. Please follow these steps to complete your submission:

Step 1 – Starting the Submission:

Authors must check all items in the submission checklist to confirm that the manuscript adheres to journal requirements. Comments to the editor can be added in the designated field.

Step 2 – Uploading the Submission:

Click “Browse” or “Choose File” to upload your manuscript file (.doc or .docx). Once selected, click “Upload” to send the document.

Step 3 – Entering Submission Metadata:

Fill in all author details, including selecting the corresponding author. Enter the manuscript title, abstract, and keywords by copying and pasting them into the text boxes provided.

Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files:

Upload additional documents such as a cover letter and signed copyright transfer form (if required). Use “Browse” to select files and “Upload” to submit. If there are no supplementary files, click “Save and continue.”

Step 5 – Confirming the Submission:

Carefully review all uploaded files. Click “Finish Submission” to complete the process. The corresponding author will receive a confirmation email and can monitor the progress by logging into the system.

Authors can track their manuscript’s status, including review and editorial decisions, via the submission interface at any time.

Manuscript Requirements

  • Language: English
  • Length: Minimum 10 pages, maximum 13 pages (including tables and figures)
  • Format: Use the official JMS manuscript template
  • File type: MS Word (.doc/.docx) only

Formatting Guidelines

Manuscript Title

  • Font: Times New Roman, 14 pt, Bold, Centered

Author Details

  • Name: Times New Roman, 10 pt, Bold, Centered
  • Affiliation: Times New Roman, 10 pt, Centered
  • Email: Times New Roman, 10 pt, Italic, Centered

Abstract & Keywords

  • Abstract: Max 250 words, Times New Roman, 10 pt, single spacing
  • Keywords: 3–5 keywords, Times New Roman, 10 pt

Abstracts must be written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Body Text

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Spacing: Single (1.0)
  • First paragraph: No indent
  • Following paragraphs: First-line indent 0.5 cm

Section-Specific Formatting

  1. INTRODUCTION

Clearly state the background, theoretical framework, gap, objective, and significance of the study.

  1. METHOD

Explain the research design, participants/data sources, instruments, and procedures briefly and clearly.

  1. RESULT AND DISCUSSION

Present results clearly and interpret them in the discussion with reference to related literature.

  1. CONCLUSION

Summarize key findings and their implications. Avoid repetition of the results section.

  1. REFERENCES
  • Use APA (American Psychological Association) Style for of the reference.
  • Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, spacing 1.0, hanging indent 1 cm
  • Use reference manager tools (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero)

  • For Book: Last Name, First Name. (Years). Name of Book. City: Publisher

Peer Review Process

All submitted papers undergo a double-blind peer review. The editorial decision (accept, revise, or reject) will be communicated within 3 months of submission.

Revision and Resubmission

Revised manuscripts must be returned promptly. Late submissions (over 3 months) will be treated as new submissions.
