Peer Review Process

Journal of Economics and Governance

To ensure the quality and scientific integrity of every published article, the Journal of Economics and Governance applies the following peer review process:

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the online journal system. Submissions must align with the journal’s focus and scope and comply with the established author guidelines.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

The editorial team conducts a preliminary review to assess the manuscript’s relevance, substance, and completeness. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s minimum standards may be rejected prior to peer review.

3. Originality Check

The manuscript’s originality is verified using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with substantial similarity to existing works may be returned to the authors for clarification or revision.

4. Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s topic. The journal implements a double-blind review system, where both author and reviewer identities are concealed to ensure objectivity.

5. Reviewer Evaluation

Each reviewer assesses the manuscript based on several criteria, including:

  • Clarity of research objectives and problem formulation

  • Appropriateness of methodology

  • Quality of data analysis

  • Relevance of references

  • Originality and scientific contribution

Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations: accept without revision, accept with minor/major revisions, or reject.

6. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor makes a final decision. Additional revisions may be requested before the manuscript is fully accepted.

7. Author Revision

Authors revise their manuscripts in accordance with the comments and suggestions provided and resubmit the revised version along with a response letter addressing each comment.

8. Re-evaluation (If Necessary)

In cases of substantial revision, the manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers to confirm that the concerns have been adequately addressed.

9. Acceptance and Production

Once accepted, the manuscript proceeds to final editing, layout formatting, and production for publication.

10. Publication

The final version of the article is published online on the journal’s website and assigned a DOI.
