Applied English Linguistics and Education

Scope of Submission

Applied English Linguistics and Education accepts original, unpublished research articles, literature reviews, and theoretical or conceptual papers related to the application of English linguistics in educational contexts. Submissions must be relevant to areas such as second language acquisition, English language teaching, curriculum development, assessment, and language pedagogy.

Submission Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be written in English.
  • The paper must not be under consideration or published elsewhere.
  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy of references and factual content.

Manuscript Structure

Submissions should include the following components:

a. Title

  • Clear and concise, not exceeding 15 words.
  • Avoid abbreviations.

b. Abstract

  • Maximum 250 words.
  • Must summarize the purpose, methods, results, and conclusion.
  • Include 4–6 keywords separated by semicolons.

c. Main Text

Follow the structure based on article type:

For research articles:

  • Introduction
  • Literature Review
  • Methodology
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion

For literature reviews or conceptual papers:

  • Introduction
  • Thematic/Sub-topic Sections
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion

Formatting Guidelines

  • File format: .docx (Microsoft Word)
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt, line spacing 1.5
  • Margin: 1 inch on all sides
  • Length: 5,000–8,000 words (excluding references)
  • Referencing style: APA Style 7th edition

Citation and References

  • All in-text citations must match the reference list.
  • Use APA 7th edition style.
  • References should be recent and relevant, with at least 60% from the last 10 years.
