An Analysis of Conversation Implicature in Dedys Corbuzier Podcast “Prabowo Perdana Bicara”

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implied meanings (conversational implicatures) in the conversation between Dedy Corbuzier and Prabowo Subianto in a podcast episode. This research adopted a qualitative approachQualitative research is a research method that aims to understand complex phenomena through in-depth analysis of the context, meaning, and characteristics involved. Descriptive data analysis was conducted using the researcher as the main tool. This type of research is content analysis because all forms of data collection come from discourse or oral speech. The object of this research is the words or speeches uttered from the Dedy Corbuzier podcast episode: Prabowo Perdana Bicara.Data analysis uses pragmatic research. Pragmatics is used to answer questions about the form of conversational meaning in podcast conversations. The implication of this sentence is that while the participants may be rivals competing to achieve their respective goals, it is ultimately cooperation for the common good that is more important
